Pet Friendly Travel Directory

Your dogs and cats are part of your family. Family vacations are fun but it can be a challenge to find hotels that allow dogs or cats. We like to travel with our dog, and so we are always looking for hotels or B&Bs that allow dogs. We are always adding locations to this list*, and if you have a favorite vacation spot that has a hotel or B&B that you’ve stayed at with your pet, please let us know.

We also offer pet carriers, dog ramps, travel bowls, cargo mats & seat covers to make traveling with your dog or cat more comfortable for both of you. Please visit the Dog Carrier section of our site to view our collection.

Hotels that allow dogs, and B&Bs that allow dogs can partner with Good-Doggie Pet Supplies to promote your business when you promote ours. For information on partnering with Good-Doggie Pet Supplies, send us an email for the details.

Dog-friendly Inn, near Menominee/Eau Claire WI

Creamery Restaurant & Inn GardenThe Creamery is a charming restaurant and inn located in the tiny village of Downsville, WI. It is a short distance from Menominee, WI, a little further from Eau Claire, WI and only 1 hour east of St. Paul, MN. Nestled in a wooded setting, retreat owner Richard Thomas welcomes dogs to stay in any of the rooms. Mr. Thomas is also a dog owner and guests are accustomed to seeing his dogs at the inn and restaurant. We visited here this last weekend, and enjoyed a delicious lunch. I had the Grilled Chicken Salad on baby spring greens grown in their own garden, and Michael had the roasted Garlic Linguine with Wild Mushrooms. Both dishes were amazingly good.

Room at Creamery Inn

We also visited their gift shoppe which sells their fresh baked breads, muffins and dog bones. We bought some bones for Sadie & Lillie, and were impressed with how large they were at only 50 cents each. Yes - the bones got the Sadie and Lillie paws of approval! We wished we had planned to spend the night, but we didn’t know they allowed dogs. So we are planning a trip to stay there another time.

While in the area we took the girls for walks on the Red Cedar Trail. It was truly beautiful. We also attended the Dunn County Humane Society Fundraiser Walk four Paws on Saturday, September, 15th at Waconda Park in Menominee. More about this in another article with photos of participants.

We highly recommend The Creamery Restaurant & Inn, which has also been named one of the Best 25 Restaurants in Wisconsin by the Milwaukee Journal.

Pet Friendly Bed & Breakfast on Orcas Island, WA

Pulaski the Canine AmbassadorWe can’t say enough about the warmth & hospitality of Innkeepers Bogdan & Carol Kulminski, and their Canine Ambassador Pulaski. We stayed here at the Blue Heron Bed & Breakfast in June without our dogs, and hope to return next summer with them. Bogdan and Carol not only allow pets to stay in the guest room, their welcome them warmly. The couple is so helpful with transportation arrangements, recommending site seeing around Orcas Island and all of the San Juan Islands, it was such a breath of fresh air to meet them and get to know them.

The bed & breakfast has 2 yards, which can be used as one for people and one for pets, or if your four-legged friend doesn’t like other canines, Pulaski can play in a separate yard. The rooms are all lovely with water views. The breakfast is delicious and healthy, and we were blessed with warm, baked treats in the afternoon or evening. We highly recommend this pet-friendly B &B on Orcas Island in Washington State. Book early, as it is a popular place from May 1 - October 1; and a Christian Retreat the rest of the year.
